Another way to let legislators know what is on your mind is at the Anchorage Caucus meeting in the Anchorage Assembly Chambers at the Loussac Library. The meeting will begin promptly at 9:30am and end at 1:00pm, if testimony lasts that long. All but the first 20 minutes will be for public testimony.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

This week, Key Coalition of Alaska is kicking off their Key Campaign: Unity in Action. Key Coalition educates legislators about the importance of community-based services for people with disabilities and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs through the annual Key Campaign activities held by local chapters.

Members are individuals who use services, family members, care givers, representatives, providers, businesses, organizations, and anyone interested in the rights and full inclusion for all Alaskans.

Current funding rates for many Home and Community based programs are derived from old or misleading data that has led to inadequate funding. I fully support the Key Coalition’s push for Real Cost Rate Reviews for these services, which will help make sure that community programs are preserved and advanced.

I am committed to ensuring that the quality of life for ALL Alaskans is maximized.

Thank you,
